Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation grant: sarcopaenia and its effects on older people

Applications are sought for research into interventions used in the prevention, diagnosis, management, monitoring or treatment of older people experiencing the effects of sarcopaenia, particularly where sarcopaenia is affecting their health, leading to dependency or impairing recovery from accident, illness or surgery.

This commissioned research call is made by the MRC and NIHR Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation Programme, which aims to bridge preclinical studies and evidence of clinical efficacy. The value of the grant is expected to be in the region of £0.5-2 million.
