Editor, Deputy Editor & Senior Editor - The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology, London

Via www.naturejobs.com. The Lancet seeks an Editor, Deputy Editor, and Senior Editor for a new specialty journal in diabetes and endocrinology to be launched from their offices in London, UK. The Editor will have overall responsibility for launching this new monthly title (print and online), which will publish fast-track original research articles together with reviews, editorials, and news. The Deputy Editor and Senior Editor will assist the Editor with peer review, commissioning, and writing, and all other editorial aspects of publishing a new title.

For all three positions, an MD or equivalent (with clinical experience in diabetes/endocrinology) or PhD degree or equivalent (in a discipline relevant to diabetes/endocrinology) is required; research experience in the specialty is necessary, as is an understanding of editorial processes and journal production. For the Editor role, experience of launching a new journal and of managing an editorial team would be an advantage. For the Deputy Editor or Senior Editor role, a US location will be considered.
