ECE 2015 was opened in style at last night’s spectacular opening ceremony!

The Congress was declared officially open yesterday by Ireland’s Minister for Health who emphasised the vital importance of endocrinology in today’s health care climate. Prize lecturers were delivered by Carlos Dieguez and Robert Semple. The ceremony was brought to a close with a warm welcome to Dublin from Chris Thompson and delegates were treated to some Irish culture when he was joined on stage by the fantastic Liffey Side Dancers and musician Brian Furlong who played songs written by the great Pete St John.

With over 3,250 delegates registered and a record number of abstracts submitted this year ECE promises to be the best yet!
