• PASSPORT! (it happens!)
• If you have pre-registered don’t forget to print out your e-badge and bring it along. Those who haven’t registered already can do so on-site during the Congress. This year look out for the e-badge self-service desks for those who have pre-registered to make the process quick and simple.
• Although it’s been a member of the EU since 1973, Denmark retains its own currency, the Danish Krone (DKK). In today’s rates* 2 Euro approximates to 15 Danish Krone.
• This year we’re going green and have moved all the abstracts on to the app, so if you absolutely need something to scribble notes on you should print out the relevant abstracts beforehand from the online abstract book Endocrine Abstracts volume 32. There will be no printing facilities at the venue.
• The Congress gets going on Saturday with two prize lectures: The Geoffrey Harris Prize is awarded to Iain Clarke (Australia) and the European Journal of Endocrinology Prize to Felix Beuschlein (Germany). During this opening ceremony ESE will also be awarding an Honorary Membership to Christian Binder in special recognition of his outstanding contribution in the field of endocrinology and diabetes and his commitment to European endocrinology through the creation of EFES and its transition to ESE.
• Have a look at the programme at http://www.ece2013.org/programme/prog.aspx to find out about the other superb lectures and presentations that await you.
• If you’re presenting a poster don’t forget to bring it along! ECE 2013 now features dedicated poster sessions on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday lunchtimes, bringing them to the heart of the meeting.
• You can upload a PDF of your poster to our e-Poster site during the Congress in the media hub.
• The ECE mobile app is back! Bookmark it from your mobile device using the link: http://www.ece2013.org/mobileapp to access the up-to-date scientific programme, networking features and much more.
• Visit the ECE 2013 blog for a more informal take on the week’s events. Current posts include interesting facts on host city Copenhagen and the amount of CO2 it takes to transport a conference’s abstract books!
• Keep up with the conversation and have your say on Twitter using the hashtag #ece13.
• We will be producing daily news updates from the Congress to keep you informed on all the latest news and events. These will be emailed direct to your inbox and will also be available on the Congress website and Congress app.
• To find out more about ESE activities please come along to the ESE stand 26 and 27 in the main exhibition area.
We hope you enjoy your time in the waterfront city of Copenhagen. See you on Saturday!
