The aim of this award is to encourage nurses, GPs, podiatrists, dietitians and professionals working in diabetes and primary care to communicate new initiatives, and evidence based practice and project working through the abstract/poster process. Abstracts on improvements in primary healthcare will be particularly welcomed. The award will be for the best poster abstract submitted at the Diabetes UK Annual Professional Conference (13-15 March 2013, Manchester).

All health professionals working in primary care (eg GP practices, pharmacies, outreach clinics if manned by primary care) are eligible to apply for this award which is worth £500. The deadline for submitting an abstract for the conference is 5pm, 10 October 2012.
