Diabetes Specialist Nurse (part-time), University of Dundee

Via www.jobs.ac.uk. The University of Dundee are looking to recruit a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (20% FTE) with an interest in Diabetes Patient Education from anywhere in Scotland. The post holder will work with a team from around Scotland consisting of other clinicians, a patient support group and IT specialists.

The role will primarily involve reviewing and updating the educational material on the MyDiabetesMyWay web site (http://www.mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk/). The post holder will also coordinate and quality-assure the acquisition of new resources through contact with MCNS and the wider diabetes community. The MyDiabetesMyWay website is the flagship patient portal/ website for diabetes in NHS Scotland. This now contains the patient access portal allowing patients to access their own clinical information on-line. This portal will undergo further expansion over coming months. There may be an opportunity to engage with ongoing audit and research around the use of the site.

This post is for 8 hours per week, and it is expected that the post holder will be able to work from their current place of work, or from home, as most of the work will be done via email and over the internet.
