Day 2 at ICE/ECE 2012

03 May 2012

Welcome to the ICE/ECE 2012 daily news update, supported by the International Society of Endocrinology and the European Society of Endocrinology. We hope you enjoyed the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception last night and are now looking forward to a day full of informative and entertaining sessions on all aspects of endocrinology.

We have an exciting programme lined up for you today, with 25 symposia sessions on topics ranging from thyroid cancer to testosterone replacement and the hormonal control of pregnancy to gut nutrient sensing in energy metabolism. We also have 16 of the ever popular Meet The Expert sessions, which provide a unique opportunity to hear from leaders in the field about the latest treatment advances and really are an opportunity not to be missed! If you miss any of the Meet The Expert sessions today, don't worry - they are all repeated tomorrow (Monday). We also have the daily Congress debate, which today is entitled "This house believes that metabolic (bariatric) surgery should be offered to every diabetic with a BMI over 30". This will take place in the Main Hall at 11:30-12:30.

A full programme of today's sessions is available via the link below. Remember, you can also access all the presentation abstracts on Endocrine Abstracts.
