Consultant in Paediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology, Birmingham

Via www.jobs.nhs.uk. Birmingham Children’s Hospital is seeking to appoint to a new post undertaking 10 PA’s per week. This is a fully tenured post designed to deliver paediatric diabetes and endocrinology services, with lead responsibilities for intensive management for children with type 1 diabetes, and the insulin pump implementation service.

There is also protected clinical research time (1 PA) and 1:5 on call commitment for endocrinology & diabetes. The appointee will join a busy, dynamic and research active department determined to improve outcomes for children with endocrine disorders and diabetes. Eligible applicants should near completion or have recently obtained their CCST in general paediatrics and be trained in paediatric diabetes & endocrinology to a tertiary level.
