Applications are invited for the full-time post of Community Press Officer at our busy national charity office in Shelford just outside Cambridge.The Alzheimer's Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working team player, looking for a varied and challenging role on a fast-moving team. Starting salary: £20,000 to £25,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus benefits.

Role responsibilities include to: Develop effective working relationships with relevant members of the media; respond promptly to queries, including occasional out-of-hours queries; Prepare, write, issue and “sell in” press releases; Liaise with the public, scientists, journalists, ART colleagues, Trustees, Patrons, other charities and organisations, IT and other support agencies as appropriate; and Act as spokesperson in media interviews, alongside others, where necessary.
