Closing date 31 December 2011 for ENDO ESE International Endocrine Scholars Programme 2012

17 May 2011

The ENDO ESE International Endocrine Scholars Programme (IESP) is aimed at promoting the career development of young endocrinologists from around the globe by identifying talented young investigators and offering them an exceptional training experience. The purpose of the programme is to select highly qualified candidates who wish to gain training for a period of 2-3 years in an outstanding laboratory. The training focuses on laboratory-based research. Clinically qualified candidates could have an additional clinical observer status, if relevant, however, clinical training is not part of the programme.

ESE will offer additional funding to support travel costs for preparatory visits and support for a limited number of selected scholars up to six months at the host laboratory in Europe. This consists of an award of €5000 to cover visits to potential host labs. In addition, if the scholar decides on a host lab in Europe, ESE will provide a scholarship award of €25000 as pump-priming for a research period of six months, subject to criteria.

Full details of the IESP and application process can be found on the ESE website via the link below. The closing date for applications is 31 December 2011.
