Project title: Investigation of novel biomarkers and definition of the role of the microbiome in Graves’ orbitopathy - ‘INDIGO’
A clinical trial manager with extensive research experience in conducting and coordinating trials in Europe is sought for project 'INDIGO'. The project will analyse the microbiome in people with Graves’ disease and orbitopathy and conduct a probiotic trial. INDIGO will also investigate novel biomarkers of disease. The role's requirements include: probiotic trial coordination, sample collection and dispatch from European centres, establishment and maintenance of databases with facility for anonymization, data organization for statistical analysis, assistance with patient recruitment in Italy and other European centres and guidance of ethical approval processes. Good spoken and written English are essential; proficiency in Italian is also highly desirable. The candidate must have a PhD or equivalent and more than 10 years' research experience. The researcher must not have worked in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to appointment.
The appointment will be on a temporary basis for 2 years (regular employment contract). Remuneration in line with EC rules for Marie Curie grant holders and equates to ~€93,000 per annum plus up to ~€12,700 mobility allowance.
