Peninsula Medical School, in partnership with the Department of Cardiology and Department of Diabetes & Vascular Medicine, Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and the Gawthorn Cardiac Trust, is seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated clinical research fellow to undertake a PhD in the field of obesity, insulin resistance and cardiac and vascular disease. The Fellow will join a vibrant and expanding clinical research team with an outstanding success rate in supervising PhD/MD's. Clinical Research Facilities including cardiac MRI, exercise and micro and macrovascular assessments are available. The successful candidate will be in possession of MRCP or equivalent and will have speciality experience in either clinical cardiology, diabetes and endocrinology or gerontology. The fellow will have a clinical attachment appropriate to their specialist interest e.g. Cardiology, Diabetes or Gerontology to ensure continuation of clinical skills/training.
