Peninsula Medical School would like to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow to undertake research into utilising clinical and laboratory biomarkers, such as urinary C-peptide measurement, to improve diagnosis and clinical care in monogenic diabetes, and to provide core clinical support to the Clinical Research Facility.
The project may be suitable for a PhD or MD, and is part of the EU FP7-funded CEED3 project (Collaborative European Effort to Develop Diabetes Diagnostics) which aims to to develop diagnostic tools to differentiate specific subgroups of diabetic patients to allow individualisation of patient care.
