Endocrinology & Metabolism or Sports Medicine; School of Medicine. The GH-2004 team has been developing a test for growth hormone abuse in sport in collaboration with the WADA and US Anti-Doping Agency. There are reports that insulin-like growth factor-I is also being abused by athletes either alone or in combination with growth hormone. We are about to embark on an exciting new project to develop our test further and to determine whether we can detect IGF-I abuse. We are looking for an outstanding medically qualified candidate with an interest in either endocrinology or sports medicine. You will be expected to register for a higher degree. For further information, contact Dr Richard Holt 023 8079 4665 (email: [email protected]) or Professor Peter Sönksen on 01962 771 029 ([email protected]). Closing date: 11 December 2006
