Added via NHSJobs. An opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join a small, well established team of Endocrine Clinical Nurse Specialists at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This team works alongside a team of 7 consultants with specialist interests including pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, thyroid disorders, calcium and bone disorders, oncology late effects and disorders of puberty.

As a tertiary referral centre we see children with rare and complex endocrine disorders, as well as the more frequently occurring endocrine conditions. The post holder would be involved in supporting and teaching families with pituitary, adrenal and growth disorders and providing education to medical, nursing and other allied health professionals in the Trust as required. The endocrine nurse specialists are encouraged and fully supported to develop specialist interests of their own and possible areas could include congenital adrenal hyperplasia, Turner’s syndrome, pituitary disorders, growth disorders, thyroid disorders and disorders of sex development.
