Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Cardiology, London, UK

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow position in Paediatric Cardiology to work at Guy's & St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London, UK on a one year fixed-term contract. It is expected that the postholder will gain experience in all areas of paediatric cardiology.

The main objectives of the post are: to provide a service commitment in paediatric cardiology and be involved in all aspects of inpatient and outpatient care; to provide clinical support, together with other registrars, to the consultants in paediatric cardiology; to participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care; to take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training; and to contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development.

The post is full-time and the postholder will participate in the on-call rota with the other SpRs for the department. When on-call, the post holder will support an ST2-3 doctor in paediatric cardiology. Interested applicants should have a major clinical interest in paediatric cardiology. Possession of the MRCPCH/MRCP or equivalent is essential. All applicants must have full GMC Registration. The closing date for applications is 6 July 2012.
