This new post will contribute to the university’s research strategy by developing research on obesity and related metabolic diseases. The successful applicant will be at the heart of plans to develop a strong obesity research theme encompassing both biomedical and health services research as it relates to obesity.
Applicants should hold full registration with the UK General Medical Council along with a PhD or equivalent in an area of medical science relevant to the fields of obesity/diabetes/endocrinology. You will have experience of clinical working in the subspecialty area of obesity as well as a proven track record of undertaking original research in a field related to Diabetes. You will be able to demonstrate successful research income generation as well as publication outputs relating to obesity.
This is a full time, permanent position working 37 hours per week and offers a salary on the Clinical Consultant Scale: £74,504 to £100,446 pa. For an informal discussion, please contact [email protected].
