CIMA Professor of Musculoskeletal Ageing, Sheffield, UK

This professorial post arises as a result of the recent award of the MRC – Arthritis Research UK Centre for Integrated Musculoskeletal Ageing (CIMA) to Sheffield, Liverpool and Newcastle Universities. Reporting to the Head of Department of Human Metabolism, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development of CIMA and the Mellanby Centre for Bone Research and use the two partnered centres as leverage for further large awards. Research interests in the area of stem cell biology and ageing would be an advantage but excellence in other areas relevant to musculoskeletal biology, ageing and medicine would be appropriate.
