Via www.naturejobs.com. Kocaeli University Stem Cell and Gene Therapy Research and Treatment Center has a postdoctoral position available in the area of beta cell biology and treatment. Areas of interest include research programs focused on the use of pluripotent or adult stem cells to study pancreatic development, establish novel models of diabetes, investigating proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of beta cells and/or develop new therapeutic approaches to treat diabetes.

Applicants are expected to hold a PhD or MD, have postdoctoral experience (or equivalent), and a demonstrated track record in the areas of beta cell biology, beta cell development in the field of diabetes. The successful candidate will be expected to establish the beta cell laboratory, train other scientists in the field of beta cell biology, lead an independent research program and contribute to collaborative initiatives within the KOGEM.
