The National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) is carrying out a study to identify and explore remediable factors in the process of care in the peri-operative management of surgical patients with diabetes.
The study requires the participation of clinicians from different specialties, including (but not exclusive to) diabetologists and diabetes specialist nurses. NCEPOD aims to recruit clinicians from different clinical grades, including senior trainees (ST6 and above). Applicants should be in current clinical practice.
The role of the case note reviewer is to provide an opinion on the patient care provided. Reviewers will be required to attend around six meetings at the NCEPOD office in central London, from 10am to 4pm approximately. Travel expenses will be paid, and lunch and refreshments will be provided. The meetings will run from August 2017 until May 2018.
Find out more and register by sending your CV and the names of two referees to [email protected] by 31 May 2017.
