We are offering a 3 year CDF position to work within an exciting programme of research in which cell biology studies are being undertaken in order to delineate the molecular mechanisms of kisspeptin regulation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) biosynthesis and secretion in GnRH neurones, and the molecular mechanisms mediating the regulation of kisspeptin biosynthesis and secretion in kisspeptin neurones. Since its recent discovery as a prime regulator of reproductive hormones, kisspeptin has been the focus of intense academic and commercial research, as it is recognised as an important target for clinical intervention.

Are you a motivated scientific researcher who has recently gained a PhD in the field of biological sciences? You will have demonstrated excellent progress in your research by the publication of papers and presentation of results at conferences and would like work on an exciting project addressing important clinical issues. CDF posts are for 2-3 years and offer a planned period of training and development for research scientists who have just completed their doctoral studies or those wishing to move into a new research discipline.
