Cancer Research UK Clinician Scientist Fellowship

06 Aug 2012

This is a postdoctoral fellowship available to clinicians and other health professionals who have completed a higher research degree. This fellowship is for you if your research is relevant to preventing, diagnosing or treating cancer and you are committed to combining research with your clinical practice. It is a funding scheme that allows clinicians, nurses, healthcare scientists and those in allied health professional posts to pursue academic research.

These awards will enable successful fellows to make the transition from doctoral research training to an independent clinical academic post. In addition to your medical qualification, you will have completed, or be about to complete a higher research degree. If you are a clinician you will have a national training number or will have obtained your Certificate of Completion of Training. Nurses, healthcare scientists and allied health professionals are advised to contact the office to discuss your application. The fellowship is potentially renewable for a further four years, allowing the fellow to start to develop their own research group. Click on the link below for more information. The closing date for applications is 30 November 2012.
