Applications are requested for three available positions of ESPE Council Members. Two vacancies are available after Lars Sävendahl (Secretary General) and Anita Hokken-Koelega (Treasurer) complete their first terms in 2014. A third vacancy has arisen due to the formation of a new ESPE Scientific Committee.
The positions available will be:
In accordance with ESPE’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, the existing Council members are eligible to stand for a second term of office. However, Professor Lars Sävendahl has advised that he will not be standing for a second term as Secretary General. The positions of Treasurer and Scientific Chair will take effect after the 53rd Annual ESPE Meeting in Dublin, 18-20 September 2014. Subject to a Special Resolution to be passed at the Dublin ABM, Professor Sävendahl will extend his term of office by one year to allow the successful candidate for Secretary General to take up the position of Secretary General-elect to enable a smooth transition before taking up the role after the 54th Annual ESPE Meeting in October 2015.

Applicants should send their CV including a photo, together with a covering letter containing 1-2 paragraphs supporting their suitability for the position. All these documents must be submitted electronically to the ESPE Office ([email protected]) by 7 March 2014. Applications received after that date will be rejected.
Applications will be assessed by the current Council during the Council Meeting from 14-15 March 2014 and the applicants will be informed by 31 March 2014 if their candidacy will proceed for formal election.
