Breast cancer patients poorly informed re hormone therapy (Reuters, 30 Sept 06)

Older European breast cancer patients without access to the Internet are not well informed about hormone treatments that can reduce the risk of a recurrence, researchers have said. Only 22 percent of 547 cancer patients in nine European countries who took part in a survey knew about or had a say in deciding to take hormone therapy after undergoing surgery to remove their tumour.
