Breast cancer fibroblasts induce EMT

Fibroblasts have long been suggested to participate in tumour initiation and progression, possibly by inducing the key metastatic cellular process of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Soon and colleagues demonstrate that fibroblasts cultured from within breast cancer tissue induced EMT in normal tissue, and are resistant to chemotherapy. Soon et al.
