Big Bang Fair 2019 call for volunteers

06 Feb 2019

Do you want to hone your skills, or dip your toe into the waters of public engagement? Join the Society stand at the Big Bang Fair and share your passion for science with thousands of young people. The Big Bang Fair attracts over 70,000 attendees every year, and the Society will be there, along with other learned Societies, creating a space to promote endocrinology and the biomedical sciences as a career choice. Don’t miss this opportunity to improve your skills, meet other researchers interested in public engagement, and share experiences and best practice.

  • When? Friday 15 and Saturday 16 March 2019
  • Where? Birmingham
  • What? The Society will deliver an activity that explains the hormones behind blood glucose regulation

The Society will cover your travel expenses to and from the venue, and up to £20 worth of food expenses. Although the activity is simple, all of our volunteers will be given a full run through of how everything works before the event – so you can focus on making the most out of this opportunity!

Register your interest by contacting us at [email protected] by 28 February
