Become an Endocrine Ambassador - submit your questions for MPs and Ministers

11 Feb 2013

We seek strong representation for endocrinology at government level, and as part of this want you to submit your questions to be put to MPs and Ministers at the Voice of the Future 2013 event organised in association with the Society of Biology.

Not only this, but we’re looking for some driven Young Endocrinologists to represent the Society for Endocrinology at the event as Endocrine Ambassadors. This is a fantastic opportunity for members with an interest in science policy to stand up for endocrinology and put their questions to the people who make the decisions. The Ambassadors will travel to the House of Commons on 20 March, courtesy of a Travel Grant from the Society, where young scientists from across all disciplines will take part in a special sitting of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee and put their organisation’s questions to the floor. You can view a video from last year's event at the Select Committee's website.

To apply, please contact Michele Starr at [email protected] for further instructions ASAP so you can get your application in by the deadline of 5pm, 25 February 2013. Even if you can’t attend we’d love to accept your questions for consideration by the same deadline.
