The researcher will be expected to develop his/her project within the area of pediatric endocrinology, highlighting 1) the study of the molecular mechanisms related to low birth weight and associated postnatal endocrine-metabolic abnormalities; 2) the study of the endocrine regulation of adipose tissue in relation to prenatal growth restriction and postnatal catch-up growth; 3) the study of genetic determinants associated with the development of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS); 4) the development of an animal model of intrauterine growth restriction.
Studies will involve basic and translational research. Minimum requirements include a PhD, expertise in a variety of cell culture, protein and molecular biological techniques and histological methods. The contract will have a duration of five years, with a salary of 40,500 Euros per year.
