Added via EuroScienceJobs. The Clinic for Small Animals of the Vetsuisse Faculty University of Zurich, offers a new professor position in Endocrinology. The position is advertised as an assistant professorship without tenure track.

Applicants are expected to have a degree and must be licensed in veterinary medicine and in addition a PhD or Habilitation or equivalent. A board certification (ECVIM-CA or ACVIM) is required. Applicants will be fully integrated into the Clinic for Small Animals for their clinical duties.

Applicants must demonstrate a strong and promising research program in small animal endocrinology (except reproduction endocrinology) and successful acquisition of extramural funding.

Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate students is required; contribution to the training of veterinary assistants, interns and residents is expected. Prior mentoring of graduate students is desirable. Applicants are expected to have leadership qualifications and a high level of social competence.

Ideally, applicants should be fluent in English and German, although knowledge in German can also be acquired within a reasonable time period.
