The Department of Animal Science at the University of California at Davis is pleased to announce recruitment for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position in physiology. The successful candidate will join the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent; a strong interest in improving sustainable animal production by understanding how environmental, metabolic, nutritional, or management stressors interact with gene expression including investigation of epigenetic effects; a record of excellence in scholarly research; and demonstrable potential to establish a competitively-funded research programme relevant to animal stress in sustainable animal agriculture. The appointee will be responsible for teaching an undergraduate course in physiology and additional contributions to the departmental curriculum, be actively involved in undergraduate advising, curricular development and department and university service. The appointee is also expected to guide and mentor graduate students and participate in the outreach programmes of the department and college.
