Applications for the Standing up for Science online workshop in November are open!
Amid complex, polarising debates on subjects from AI to vaccines, food security, youth justice, radiation and, of course, COVID-19, this workshop aims to equip researchers to engage with the public, journalists and policymakers – helping them to ask useful questions and put research findings and real-world events in context.
The workshop will combine discussion around misrepresentation of science in the media and how evidence influences policy with practical tips and tricks on how early career researchers can start standing up for science.
This online workshop is free for early career researchers and the application deadline is 17:00 on Monday 26 October. See the website for details.
