Applications open for PhD poster competition for women in science

The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women In Science Programme’s PhD Poster Competition, is now open for applications.

The For Women In Science Fellowship recognises the achievements and contributions of exceptional females across the globe, by awarding promising scientists with Fellowships to help further their research. Get exposure for your work and an opportunity to network at the For Women In Science Ceremony, to which you will be invited should you win.

How do I apply?

Submit a maximum 300 word abstract, and be available to present your poster on the 24th May 2018 5-9pm at the Royal Society, London. Applications close at midday on Monday 23rd April 2018.  

Please submit your application as a PDF document and email to [email protected] by midday on Monday 23rd April 2018.

Successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 11th May 2018.

Who is Eligible?

• Applicants must be completing their PhD at a University or Research Institute within the UK or Ireland.
• Applicants must be completing their research in the fields of life, physical or computer science, engineering or mathematics.
• Applicants can be at any stage of their PhD; however they cannot have already completed their oral examination.
• Applicants must submit an abstract detailing their own findings. A review of others work will not be accepted.
