Adjunct Professor/Associate Professor and Senior Researcher, Medical Bioinformatics - Oslo, Norway

The Institute of Clinical Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics, has a vacant position as Adjunct Professor or Associate Professor of Medical Bioinformatics combined with a full-time senior researcher position at Oslo University Hospital, Department of Medical Genetics, Section of Research and Development.

The person appointed is expected primarily to do research related to analysis of high throughput DNA sequencing data in a medical context, but research can also include other aspects of medical bioinformatics. Applicants should have a general background in informatics and biology or medicine. In addition, a strong research experience in general or medical bioinformatics is required. She or he should be able to establish a research group at the department, and to extend the research activities of the department in novel and innovative directions.
