Applications are invited for two roles:
NIHR Academic Clinical Lectureship (ACL) in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus at ST3 level commencing from August 2013. This post is aimed at those who are advanced in their specialty training, have completed a research doctorate or equivalent and show outstanding potential for continuing a career in academic medicine. This role is for a maximum of 4 years and is expected that you will complete your specialty training during this period. Alongside clinical training, the successful applicant will be able to further develop their academic skills and will be encouraged to apply for funding to support further postdoctoral or educationalist training.
Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF) in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus at ST3 level commencing from August 2013. This Fellowship will provide funding for doctors entering specialty training and for those already in specialty training who hold an NTN, and have outstanding potential as a researcher and/or educationalist. Successful applicants will have 25% of their time protected in order to develop their academic skills and prepare and compete for a training Fellowship for a higher degree. Funding will be available for a maximum of three years. Alongside clinical training, the successful applicant will be able to further develop their academic skills and will be encouraged to apply for funding to support further postdoctoral or educationalist training.
