The programme is designed to provide outstanding research training with state-of-the-art facilities and an educational programme geared toward understanding ageing and age-related diseases. A thesis committee will provide comprehensive support and mentorship for career development. The PhD curriculum is complemented by seminars and courses in ageing-related subjects as well as practice-oriented general skills. Our students receive full funding for the entire PhD period. The environment is international and the programme language is English.
Applications are encouraged from qualified, motivated, and talented students holding or about to obtain an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in biology or a related subject. Applicants with a medical degree who can prove sufficient research experience in a relevant field are also welcomed. Applicants should be fluent in written and spoken English.
