What's new from your Society for 2023

05 Jan 2023

This year your Society is working on streamlining our content, strategizing for success, increasing ways to support our members and introducing exciting new events. Here are seven important things we're working on for 2023:

  1. Council is currently considering the top priorities of the Society and will be setting a new strategy for the next few years.

  2. We are developing our range of events and training to offer as much value to as many members as possible via a spread of in-person and digital events. Look out for our new series of clinical webinars coming soon!

  3. Our committees are busy reviewing the Society’s grants to make our funding more flexible and more accessible for members at a time when members’ funding needs are changing.

  4. We are launching a new Exchange Award with the Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA) to allow up to two researchers to spend time in Australia completing a research placement and giving a scientific talk at the ESA annual conference

  5. Our digital platforms are being made more dynamic and functional. Our Clinical Resource Hub, Nurse Competency Framework platform and You and Your Hormones website are all being developed to facilitate learning.

  6. Our clinical Peer Review programme is relaunching this year with two different options for participating centres – a face-to-face deep dive into services, or an online review model that will link centres together to enable them to learn from each other.

  7. Alongside all this, we are continuing to work hard on making sure the Society, its governance and all its activities are as welcoming and inclusive as possible – our working group will present recommendations to Council in the first half of this year.
